With the unveiling of a selection of hosts including Måns Zelmerlöw, Shirley Clamp, and Pernilla Wahlgren, we now have the official running order of the Melodifestivalen 2021 Semi-Finals.
February will undoubtedly be a good month for fans of great pop music and the running order cleverly mixes big names and rising talents to produce an eclectic mix.
Semi Final 1 features 2020 competitor Paul Rey, Queen of the Party Voice herself Jessica Andersson, and closes with the return of Danny Saucedo and his Swedish language entry Dandi dansa.
The 13th of February will see highly anticipated turns from Anton Ewald who makes his return to the contest after seven years, whilst 2020 favourite Dotter will face-off against new talent including Patrik Jean.
The following week, former winner and general Queen of Everything Charlotte Perrelli returns and opens the show with Still Young (please be a bop). This heat will also contain Alvaro Estrella and Tusse amongst its stars.
The last of these semi finals – perhaps the hardest to call – sees Eric Saade close the show, whilst 2020 victors The Mamas and Alcazar’s Tess Merkel will be fighting him for the top prize. Newcomer Efraim Leo will also prove tough competition for the established favourites.
