Online voting is now open in HaShir Shelanu L’Eurovizion 2021 the selection event that will determine which of 2020 competitor Eden Alene’s entries will be sent to Rotterdam this year. The winning song will be announced in a special broadcast on Monday January 25th. Details on how to vote for the tracks are here.
Eden has unveiled three music videos to support the entries, which you can see below:
La La Love
“‘Cause love is my disease, I don’t need no medication, I-I-I-I want it to infect my generation, Party ’til the morning, ‘Til the sun is glowing, All I wanna do is la la la la la love,” Eden sings on the track which serves as a feel-good party anthem with the intention of spreading love and positivity. With slick up-tempo production, the track is an optimistic slice of pop that seamlessly incorporates Hebrew and English whilst showcasing Eden’s vocal prowess.
Set Me Free
Set Me Free is a dramatic mid-tempo which incorporates elements of slinky dance music. The chorus sees Eden serve up her strongest vocal of the three tracks as she sings “Set me free, Feel my bеating heart in perfect harmony, Don’t lеt me down” against a marching beat that soon makes way for smooth strings and shimmering electronic production.
Ue La La
Ue La La, perhaps the most urban-flavoured of the entries is an ode to female empowerment and features the strongest amount of Hebrew swagger of the three entries. Dripping in attitude sensed from the opening of the song where Eden sings “I don’t need a boy, boy, boy, I just need a man, man, man.” Our least favourite of the entries, the track was also Eden’s least favourite in its demo form – it has since grown on her.
