Beirut-born singer-songwriter Maro has released his sophomore single with the buoyant Take It Back. The release follows his 2020 debut release carsick.
Clocking in at two-minutes forty seconds, the peppy single sees Maro’s understated vocals combine with optimistic production from TeoFrans (Teodor Runsiö and Frans Torell) featuring an energetic melody. Take It Back is written by Maro, Teofrans and Petter Tarland.
Growing up in Lebanon, Maro started writing songs in his mid-teens in order to cope with the loneliness of constantly moving, and within a year began busking on the streets of his hometown. He since gained traction over social media where he featured covers of artists including Radiohead – resulting in him amassing an impressive online fanbase.
