Thomas Rhett reveals his upcoming fifth studio album arrives on April 30th with a title that implies he is moving away from his recent country-pop leanings. Titled Country Again: Side A the album is set to feature previous single What’s Your Country Song? as well as freshly released tracks Want It Again and Growing Up.
Each track of the album is penned by Thomas and sees him collaborate with producers Dann Huff and Jesse Frasure. The singer states: “Country Again: Side A is everything I wanted to say when I was 19 years old, but hadn’t lived enough to know how to say any of those things yet. It’s about the crazy journey that took me out into the world over the last ten years and ultimately brought me back home, more centred and content than ever, with a deep understanding for what’s important in life.”
Want It Again is a gentle guitar-centred track focussed on the girl that got away, whilst Growing Up a reflective mid-tempo with clear nineties influences with Thomas crooning “I used to hit the bar downtown, Chase girls with Coke and Crown, Raise ’em up and shut ’em down, shut ’em down,” singing about how he has matured over the years.
Thomas adds: “I’ve had a blast sharing some of these songs in their acoustic form during quarantine,” he goes on, “and am blown away by the reaction the fans have already shown.”

1. “Want It Again”
2. “Growing Up”
