Sitting with over fifteen thousand Spotify streams already, Australian musical talent Andrew Lambrou’s first single Throne is a truly assured debut. The 22 year old Sydney native has made a name for himself performing on social media platforms such as YouTube, Instagram and Tik Tok but now begins his journey as a recording artist.
Throne is a dramatic and elegantly crafted pop debut that arrives brimming with confidence and a clear sense of artistic identity. Andrew works with Sydney-based label City Pop Records and Sony ATV Publishing for the debut and is set to release numerous original tracks through these labels.
The dark pop anthem produced by Dave Hammer plays with moody electronic sounds to create an atmospheric soundscape. Andrew explains a little behind the track’s meaning: “It’s about taking matters into your own hands and visualising what you want to achieve in life, foreseeing yourself at the top before your goals are achieved “sitting on my throne” and never letting go of that self-belief that you can do it!’”
Lyrics such as “Why did it take so long, For me to right my wrongs? This time I can call this home, Now I hold my own,
Sitting on my throne,” showcase these themes about controlling your own destiny and achieving your goals that Andrew discusses.
