Swedish musical talent Agnes Carlsson crafts some pure dancefloor ecstasy on new single 24 Hours, following her stellar Fingers Crossed.
24 Hours is written by Agnes alongside Kerstin Ljungström, Maria Hazell, Salem Al Fakir, and Vincent Pontare with production from Vargas and Lagola. With a chorus that sees Agnes sing: “Twenty-four hours never seemed so far away, Feels like a lifetime ago, Twenty-four hours, so little did I know, Twenty-four hours ago, That was the last time, the last time I’ll ever be yours, Just twenty-four hours ago…”, the track produces an enthralling earworm that helps it stand as some of the singer’s best work.
With rippling electronic production wracked with lightning sharp synths, empowering percussion, and Agnes’ impassioned vocals – this is lush, dramatic contemporary disco at its best.
The release is said to join Fingers Crossed and previous track Silence as part of the singer’s fifth studio album. This will mark her first since 2012’s flawless Veritas.
