Swedish-based, Venezuela-born musical talent Omar Rudberg is currently impressing in Netflix drama Young Royals but does not let that overshadow his musical aspirations. Omar releases new EP Omar Covers featuring versions of The Ark’s It Takes a Fool to Remain Sane, Clean Bandit’s Symphony and Seinabo Sey’s Remember.
Omar made his name in pop group FO&O alongside Felix Sandman and Oscar Enestad, but like his bandmates he is pursuing solo ventures such as his covers EP. Working alongside producer Jacob Werner, Omar puts an inventive spin on these established pop classics. It Takes a Fool to Remain Sane is a slinky dance anthem that keeps the energy high, something shared by Symphony which sees Omar pack a further emotive edge into the lyrics. Remember shines as a minimalist R&B-influenced treat which Omar’s charisma soaring.
