Efraim Leo is currently one of the most exciting rising pop talents in Sweden, delivering slick hook-filled tracks such as Melodifestivalen hit Best of Me and addictive gems like One of Them Girls. The singer puts his unique spin-on a 2007 classic from Enrique Iglesias Do You Know – often known as The Ping Pong Song.
Efraim and producer Mark West put a unique stamp on Do You Know, changing it from a dramatic Latin pop anthem to an angsty punk-flavoured Scandinavian pop treat. Why did Efraim decide to take on an Enrique classic? The twenty-three year old shares: “Do You Know” is a great song that I remember hearing on the radio as a kid. The chorus has such a nostalgic melody that makes it into a 2000’s classic and I really wanted to make my own version of the song. It really fits well with my upcoming music and this is a way for me to show people where my sound is heading.“
The more raw-flavoured emotion of the track is a great fit for Efraim and continues to assert him as a name to remember in the world of Swedish pop music. If this is an indication of the direction he is headed, we’re very excited for new music from the emerging star.
