US musical talent Jesse McCartney returns with a slice of emotive pop music, new single Kiss The World Goodbye. The track sees Jesse’s R&B flavoured vocals paired with mellow multi-instrumental production to produce a laid-back yet emotional release.
Carah Faye Charnow, Jesse and Morgan Taylor Reid write the track, with Morgan also stepping in for production responsibilities. Jesse sings “When we on the cloud and we up this high, Every other thing is such a waste of time, Cuz as long as “we’s” always you and me, me we can go kiss the world goodbye” in the song which centres on the confidence and security that love can bring.
Jesse drew inspiration for the song from his relationship with his fiancé: “If this last year has taught us anything, it’s to hold our loved ones close. I hope my fans can overcome the fear and anxiety that has come with this pandemic, and if it helps, they can jump in the car with a friend or significant other, roll the windows down, blast this song, and just drive! This song is intended to inspire, even when you have the weight of the world on your shoulders. And when you have that special someone you can rely on, someone who can share in the good times and bad, it really gives you the sense that the two of you can take on anything.”
Kiss the World Goodbye is set to join Jesse’s previous singles Yours and Friends on Jesse’s upcoming new album New Stage – details of which have yet to be confirmed – although expect them at some point this year.
