Dolly Parton Delivers Dance-Flavoured ‘Sent From Above’, Is The Long-Awaited Dance With Dolly Album Coming?

Dolly Parton has revealed her latest single, Sent From Above, an electronic-pop flavoured dance anthem. The track which Dolly dropped on streaming services today is written by the Country Queen herself with production from David Saint Fleur and Aukoustics.

“Sent from above / I know you must / Be heaven-sent / And I love you ever so much…” Dolly sings on the love-song against bubbling electronic production which gives us Carly Rae Jepsen vibes. The track coincides with the release of Dolly’s fragrance which she calls Scent from Above – see what she did there?

Whilst the track is currently serving as a ‘theme song’ for Dolly’s new fragrance, we do wonder if Dolly’s going to living up to her promise to release her big gay dance album. She’s recently collaborated with Galantis on dance track Faith and the electronic pop leanings of Sent From Above have us wondering if the long-awaited dance LP is on the horizon. Dolly has teased the tracks ‘Just A Wee Bit Gay’ and ‘Dance With Me Darling’ for several years now so fingers crossed we’re now entering the Dance Dolly era.
