Cascada gave us the first taste of their upcoming Studio 24 album with their cover of classic soul hit Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, but now they move towards the eighties with their take on Blondie’s Call Me.
A press release notes the track is “a dynamic cover of Blondie’s classic hit. Reimagined in the signature sound of their upcoming album, Studio 24 (releasing on October 11, 2024), this track promises to bring fresh energy while honoring the original’s timeless appeal. With captivating beats and modern production, Cascada’s version of “Call Me” is sure to resonate with fans old and new. Stay tuned for the release and get ready to dance!”
Cascada’s take on the track does not shake-up the production too much, although takes things down a slightly more danceable route. The band’s vocalist Natalie Horler does an impressive job with her vocal, delivering one that is likely to appeal to Cascada’s fans.
Cascada continue to be a staple of the global dance music scene with timeless bangers including Every Time We Touch, Evacuate the Dancefloor, and Truly Madly Deeply remaining firm favourites of pop fans.
Studio 24 arrives October 11, 2024. The full tracklist for the LP is yet to be unveiled but the album is available for pre-order now.
