The Netherlands very own pop heroes Son Mieux have been giving us danceable disco inspired grooves for some years and have subsequently become firm favourites in their homeland and neighbouring Europe. Now the seven-piece outfit join forces with disco legend Nile Rodgers for a revamp of earlier release This Is the Moment.
The band share: “We are very excited to announce a fresh take on ‘This Is The Moment,’ brought to life by a special collaboration with the iconic Nile Rodgers. We had the honour of collaborating with Nile at the iconic Abbey Road Studios. Together, we’ve reimagined the track in a way that we’re immensely proud of. This experience was a dream come true! ‘This Is The Moment’ with Nile Rodgers.”
The band have two albums to their name thus far, most recently 2022’s The Mustard Seed and have hit new chart highs with single Multicolor. They’ve since released impressive numbers including Tell Me More and Tonight. It is hoped a third album is on the imminent horizon.
Playing with seventies grooves and disco influences, This Is the Moment is penned by Camiel Meiresonne, Isa Azier, and Nile Rodgers, with production from Rodgers, Azier and Thijs van der Klugt. The band is made up of Camiel Meiresonne, Timo Prins, Olivier Lucas, Maud Akkermans, Niels de Maa, Quinten Meiresonne and Justin Schellekens.
