Norwegian music talent Atle Pettersen has been hard at work on his upcoming new studio album and now delivers the first official taste of the collection with lead single Hvis du elsket meg which Atle releases through Universal Music Group. The title translates as If You Loved Me.
Atle co-writes the track with Elsa Søllesvik and Lasse Midtsian Nymann, with the Norwegian star also co-producing with Christer Gundersen. Atle’s impressive vocals take centre stage on Hvis du elsket meg, accompanied by rousing pop production that shines with a summer-ready sense of hopefulness. The number impresses in its anthemic nature bringing in a mix of instrumentation including a powerhouse sax solo.
As well as being a favourite of Norwegian music fans, Atle has built up a sizeable European fanbase through his participation in Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix in which the star delivered standout English-language entries World on Fire and Masterpiece in the hope of representing his homeland at the Eurovision Song Contest.
