Czech star Simon Opp releases new EP DANCE WITH SOMEBODY this week, with the six track set leaning into the musician’s Britpop and indie-pop sensibilities. The EP sees Simon deliver big dramatic pop vocals, a rock flavoured inflection to his sound, and slick energetic production.
Listeners may be familiar with tracks Chains, Fair Lady and Twisted Blonde which Simon previously released as singles via his label Young Republic CZ. Immediate standouts also include newer tracks such as the attention-grabbing SEX, a sultry attitude-packed pop number, raucous indie dancefloor filler Dance With Somebody, and the gritty pop-rock of Rebel.
The EP sees Simon work with producers such as Tomáš Herajt, Honza Gajdos and Steve Lyon, whilst Simon co-writes numerous tracks on the set.
