An icon returns with new music this week. Patty Pravo has been a staple of the Italian music scene since the 1960s and continues to impress with striking new compositions. The Pazza idea and Pensiero stupendo hitmaker returns with the first taste of new music since her 2019 studio album Red in the form of Ho provare tutto (I Tried Everything).
Written by Francesco Bianconi and produced by Taketo Gohara, Ho provare tutto is a poignant, emotive number for the Italian diva that stands as one of her most intoxicating production yet. A press release shares: “It is a clear and explicit photograph of the most intense experiences lived by the artist and outlines her most intimate and personal path. “Ho provare tutto” is in fact the portrait of the life of a free artist, who has always made her choices following exclusively her own ego and without caring about conventions; who is still here, with all the energy and desire to love, despite the disenchantment that life brings with it.“
It is unclear if an album is to follow, but fans have been eager for a new LP from Pravo since 2019. If Ho provare tutto is a sign of things to come, we could be entering a new golden age of Patty Pravo music.
