O!Dorian and The LaVettes Return With Scintillating Dark Pop ‘Lucifer’

O!Dorian has been a regular on the site for a number of years thanks to his intoxicating schalger-centred Europop. Earlier this year the Swedish singer-songwriter joined forces with Lola and Lince of The LaVettes for an impressive cover of Army of Lovers’ debut single When the Night Is Cold, now they return with new original music in the form of Lucifer.

O!Dorian shares: “My biggest inspiration has been Army of Lovers, and together with Michael Lövgren, we have embraced their extravagance, boldness, and boundless expression to create a song that feels like a ceremony of sin and euphoria. It’s Eurodisco on steroids, with ABBA-style choirs, a beat-driven explosion of drama and decadence. It flirts with the fine line between good and evil, love and temptation, and I promise – Lucifer won’t let you go without a fight!” [Translated]

The number is a Eurodisco treat, dripping with a dark decadent energy and hooking us in with smooth vocals and Michael Lövgren’s delectable dance-centred production. Michael Lövgren and Emil Löfström aka O!Dorian co-write the number.

Not content with just simply giving us one version, O!Dorian and The LaVettes delight with additional remixes from Retroteque, Peter Frodin, Janousek, and Peters Popshow. Stream above.
