All Saints team-up with Sting for a new version of Message in a Bottle made famous by The Police. The girl-group made up of Nicole Appleton, Shaznay Lewis, Natalie Appleton and Melanie Blatt released album Testament in 2018 with singles Love Lasts Forever and After All.
With regards to the new track, the band noted: “We first performed our version of #MessageInABottle with the BBC Concert Orchestra for Children In Need and on last year’s summer festival run. Earlier this year, we were in the studio working up a new arrangement of the song for a radio session, when we decided to record what we had come up with.“
The track sees Shaznay Lewis take the lead vocally, with Melanie Blatt also clearly heard. The song was a number one hit for The Police in 1979 thanks to its breezy blend of reggae and pop.
All Saints have released five studio albums and have six number one hits to their name, including: Never Ever, Under the Bridge, Lady Marmalade, Bootie Call, Pure Shores, and Black Coffee.
