Hustle stud Matt Di’Angelo turns leading man in new British gangster film Two Days in the Smoke. The official synopsis tells us:
City lawyer Brad Walker (Matt Di’angelo) is having the worst day of his life. His high-maintenance girlfriend Sasha (Anna Passey) has left him for his so-called friend Tom (Christian Brassington) and to add insult to injury, he’s been fired too. On a night out drowning his sorrows with old friend Dean (Jeff Leach), he overhears a conversation between Phil (Darren Ripley) and Ben (Stephen Marcus) – two drug dealers working for small-time gangster Jack (Alan Ford) – that will change his life forever…
Two Days in the Smoke looks a bit more exciting than your average Brit gangster flick, mainly because it appears to have its tongue firmly planted in its cheek. Most of the genre is bogged down by films that take themselves far too seriously so the cheeky Two Days in the Smoke certainly looks refreshing. Anything that starts with an anal penetration gag and leads up to Alan Ford doing expletive filled nursery rhymes is okay in our book.
Of course, we are also excited to see Matt Di’angelo in a leading role – he stole the show in the latter series of BBC’s Hustle and impressed in European series Borgia. He also has a shower scene here which is already quickening our pulses.
There is no set release for Two Days in the Smoke but we will update when the details arrive.
