Good People is the latest film to centre around that old conundrum of normal people finding bundles of ‘bad money’. Based on the novel by Marcus Sakey, filmmaker Henrik Ruben Genz has teamed up with Kate Hudson, James Franco and Tom Wilkinson – in order to craft a punchy little thriller around the subject.
Good People follows financially struggling couple Tom and Anna who decide to take a bundle of cash that they find in their dead tenant’s apartment. However, it is not long before the wrong people start to hunt for the missing money.
Genz’s film looks like a modestly straight-forward thriller and has us somewhat intrigued. Even if the idea has been explored before, Good People has the potential to explore countless new directions with it. Plus, this has Tom Wilkinson in it – and we love Tom Wilkinson.
