Swedish pop icon and Eurovision and Melfest Royalty Jessica Andersson leads us to the dancefloor with her latest track Serenity. The uptempo number has classic synthpop and disco influences and sees Andersson deliver an anthem centred on themes of personal resilience and overcoming adversity.
Serenity follows Andersson’s previous singles 2019’s rousing dance anthem Go Slow and 2018’s Melfest entry – the iconic Party Voice. Jessica’s latest track is written by herself and Ellen Paulina Falkås, Eric Wictor, Ian-Paolo Lira and Simon Boustedt.
Audiences know and love Jessica from her fifth place finish at Eurovision 2003 as part of pop duo Fame (with Magnus Bäcklund) who delivered the track Give Me Your Love. As a soloist Jessica has been a Melfest regular performing in 2006, 2007, 2010, 2015, and in 2018.
Jessica performed Serenity at Bingolotto, the video of which you can see below.
