Long-time Alberta based friends – vocalist Josh Travnik, and keyboardist Daniel Belland make up the duo Homofonik, a rising musical force in the dancepop world. Their debut single Taste has arrived and it is a euphoric slice of escapist pop with a big infectious chorus.
Produced by Father Bobby Townsend and Randor Lin of Velveteen Audio, Taste is a song centred on the thrill of going out and meeting someone new – the buzz of the chase. Josh sings “Maybe it means I’m greedy, craving your sweet embrace, don’t want you forever, just want a little taste”. in the track’s euphoric chorus capturing a flirty rendezvous. It’s a song that commands you to a dancefloor thanks to its sparkling synth-drenched production, refreshingly queer themes, and immaculate vocals.
Taste is a track that has us massively excited for Homofonik as a pop duo. With a clear love for euphoric pop music, Josh and Daniel have given us a little taste of their pop skills – and now we have no shame in saying, now we’re craving more.
