Winning us over from the vinyl crackle in the first few seconds, Michael Medrano has delivered a silky contemporary disco delight with new single Hands On U.
The Los Angeles native delivers a track that pays loving tribute to synthy-seventies disco, yet also feels slick and contemporary thanks to its polished electronic production. Filled with an engaging charisma thanks to Medrano’s natural, unforced vocals, Hands On U is titillating, sexually charged ode to physical temptation and longing.
Michael notes that this was his first creation in lockdown: “This was the first song I made in quarantine, co-produced all from my bedroom. It’s sexy, fun, and I hope it takes your mind off of the mess going on outside.” Undoubtedly Michael does succeed as this is gorgeous piece of disco escapism and has us excited for the rising LGBTQ+ star’s upcoming releases.
Michael is fresh from releasing his other jams of 2020 including the infectious Do Your Thing!, Jame collaboration Run Like Hell, and alternative hedonistic anthem Bump This.
