Maggie Q and Luke Hemsworth lead high concept horror Death of Me from Saw II, III and IV filmmaker Darren Lynn Bousman. The trailer for the project, which hits VOD on October 2nd, teases some incredibly enticing horror concepts – from ancient rituals and cults to found-footage nastiness. Check out the official synopsis below:
“Vacationing on an island off the coast of Thailand, Christine (Maggie Q) and Neil Oliver (Luke Hemsworth) awake hungover and with no memory of the previous night. They find footage on Neil’s camera, and watch, horrified, as Neil appears to murder Christine. With twenty-four hours until the next ferry and a typhoon threatening the island, Christine and Neil attempt to reconstruct the night’s events—and are snared in a web of mystery, black magic, and murder.“
Bousman has a busy time ahead of him with the upcoming Spiral: From the Book of Saw due in May 2021, which sees him return to the director’s chair to helm a new incarnation of the iconic horror series. The sharp and masterfully crafted trailer for Death of Me certainly looks like the film will tide us over until that arrives.
