Trailer: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

The first Captain America might not have had the best reviews of any of the Marvel films, but was immediately (alongside Thor) one of my personal favourites. The wartime setting made for a refreshing departure from traditional Marvel fare and it had a distinctly nostalgic charm. We’re eager to see how its sequel Captain America: The Winter Soldier explores the Cap’s new life in the present day.

The Winter Soldier follows Captain America adjusting to modern life in Washington, when the country comes under attack from a new enemy. This results in a team-up with SHIELD and the uncovering of a wider conspiracy.

Like the first Captain America, The Winter Soldier has a cast to die for – lead by the devastatingly handsome Chris Evans, the film also stars Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Emily VanCamp and Hayley Atwell and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. Oh and only bloody Robert Redford!

We’re particularly exciting to see Redford in the Marvel world, and seeing what effect his character Alexander Pierce has on the film’s proceedings.
