After blowing us away last week with the latest Captain America trailer, Marvel have just gone and done it again with an exciting trailer for Bryan Singer’s return to the comic-book universe, X-Men: Days of Future Past. Our excitement levels have now reached epic proportions.
Serving as both a sequel to X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: First Class, Days of Future Past sees both variations of the iconic superheros team-up to stop a deadly force. But what does this all mean? Well most importantly, it means we get to enjoy both Fassbender and McAvoy alongside Magneto and Professor X’s previous incarnations of Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart.
Not only are McKellen and Stewart making a much welcome return to the franchise, but so are Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Anna Paquin (Rogue), Ellen Page (Shadowcat), Shawn Ashmore (Iceman), and only bloody Halle Berry (Storm). They’re joined by First Class stars Nicholas Hoult, Lucas Till, and more. A cast to die for!
We’re so glad that Singer has returned to the series – having produced the stellar first and second installments. Even more of a treat will be seeing the return of so many classic characters, that we had thought to be wiped out due to the reboot structure of First Class.
X-Men: Days of Future Past hits cinem,as on the 22nd of May 2014. Squeeee!
