Continuing to prove that they are both very busy men, Jason Statham and James Franco have managed to squeeze yet another film into their extensive schedules.
Penned by Sylvester Stallone (but not starring the great man – presumably because that would result in the film flopping), Homefront follows a former DEA agent who moves to a quiet US town but is met with trouble by a nasty gang of meth pushers who put he and his daughter’s lives at risk.
Whilst it seems like we’ve seen it all before, it’s always interesting to see a Statham actioner set across the pond – you know, for a change of scenery. It’s also surprising to see James Franco star in a relatively safe action film like this as he hasn’t exactly been known for his overly conventional film roles in recent years.
Homefront also stars Winona Ryder and Kate Bosworth. It hits US cinemas on the 27th of November and UK cinemas on the 29th of November. You can also check out the awful poster below.
