Indie pop talent Calvin Goldspink drops his second single of 2020, The Cold. The icy pop track sees the former S Club Juniors star sing about periods of uncertainty – a very apt theme for 2020.
The singer notes: “We all experience times of transition. When you’re in between jobs, a relationship or just stuck in a rut not knowing what’s next. ‘The Cold’ is about embracing that moment and learning from the mistakes that got you there”.
The Cold follows Calvin’s August released single Fear Mama and provides similar vocals racked in emotional conviction. Produced by Calvin alongside Rob Torres, the track sees Calvin muse: “When the silence is gone, Will you lead me on, When the silence is gone, Will you lead me on…” against moody atmospheric electronic production to produce an impressive pop delight.
Calvin has also been keeping himself busy with Breaking Sound– a music company set up to support emerging artists from around the world. His goal was to make an accessible and premium performance platform for artists to play live and showcase to industry tastemakers.
The Cold is taken from his forthcoming EP – expected in 2021. Connect with Calvin below:
