To be perfectly honest, we didn’t really care about Miguel until finding out he’d collaborated with the Queen of Decadence, Mariah Carey on the singer’s latest smash #Beautiful. However, being the inquisitive souls that we are, we soon set about exploring Miguel’s “back-catalogue” (musically speaking, not physically).
This pursuit of hard-hitting journalism soon lead us to Miguel’s second album Kaleidoscope Dream, which was released September of 2012. The album is a flawless example of modern R&B chock full of stunning lyrics and a dreamlike atmosphere. We’d strongly recommend the tracks The Thrill, Use Me & Do You…, although the whole album is generally terrific.
It also happens that Miguel performed on Later… with Jools Holland last week (as did the equally amazing OMD), and here are the clips to prove it…
You can buy Kaleidoscope Dream on iTunes and Amazon, or even buy it in HMV. What do we care?
