Red Band Preview: The Man With The Iron Fists

Our friends in the USA are lucky enough to have the opportunity to catch RZA’s grindhouse martial arts epic, The Man with the Iron Fists already, but for those of us in Europe, Australia and New Zealand we have to wait until early December or later.

Written by Eli Roth and RZA, The Man with the Iron Fists follows an oddball selection of warriors who descend upon a small Chinese town in search of vast riches. A local blacksmith takes it upon himself to protect himself and his fellow villagers.

We may not have the film yet, but fortunately there are enough exciting stills and clips circling round the web at the moment in order to build our anticipation. The red band trailer alone (below) shows us that this is going to be a very special action picture – including several of RZA’s masterfully crafted fight sequences brimming with manic atmosphere and energy. It’s looking like a cross between Kung Fu and Kill Bill whilst on an acid trip – in other words, amazing.
