Elizabeth Taylor (1932-2011)

Hollywood Icon Dame Elizabeth Taylor has sadly passed away aged 79 today. As well as having a phenomenal list of fantastic acting roles, Dame Elizabeth was also work tirelessly to promote HIV charities. She was true Hollywood royalty, the epitome of glamour and class. She will be missed. Here are some of my favourite Elizabeth Taylor performances and clips.

RIP Dame Elizabeth.

A Little Night Music
Bless her. Dame Elizabeth’s singing voice wasn’t the best, but there’s a nice charm about her.

Giant

Taylor’s performance was beautiful and she looked wonderful.

Cleopatra

Quite the flop, but Taylor and Burton’s performance is this is magnificent and it’s a perfect example of their on screen chemistry.

Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf

Perhaps her most powerful performance in this tale focussing on the strained relationship of a university professor and his hard drinking wife.

Boom!

Monkey off balcony!

These Old Broads

Taylor stars alongside Joan Collins, Debbie Reynolds and Shirley MacLaine. Not the best film but you can tell the girls are having a great time.
