You may remember us obsessing over rising pop talent OREN’s recent single IN YOUR HEAD which we praised as “a woozy electronic pop affair that bounces with springing synths, seductively charming vocals, and soundscapes that feel both introspective and exuberantly confident.” Now OREN delivers further delights in Hold U which the singer co-produces with Lior “Limik” Buskilla and Anton Kossoy.
The track penned by OREN sees him craft a tale of someone in a damaging relationship, clinging onto any shred of being seen as special. The singer expanded: “this song is about trying to stay in a toxic relationship at any cost… not because you’re in love, but because you’re desperate to be seen as special in someone else’s eyes.” OREN manages to tackle turbulent themes in a manner which is wholly absorbing – thanks to his vocals racked in a naturalistic emotion and his intricately crafted pop arrangements.
We really can’t praise OREN enough. He’s quickly becoming one of our favourite artists of the moment.
