Carrie Underwood Announces New Album ‘Denim and Rhinestones’ For June, Drops Title Track

Following on from last month’s Ghost Story, Carrie Underwood releases Denim and Rhinestones, the title track from her upcoming new studio album slated for a June 10th release. The track is a feel-good slice of slick throwback country that veers away from the Christian sound of Underwood’s previous collection My Saviour.

We are delighted to see Carrie make a return to mainstream country with the collection with Denim and Rhinestones packing a jubilant classic country sound paying homage to greats like Reba, Dolly and Martina McBride. Carrie sings: “You’re the smooth and I’m the shine / We’re the neon dancing all night / Denim and rhinestones / You’re the cool and I’m the fire / No, we’re never going out of style…” against production which she collaborates with David Garcia on. The track is written by Carrie with David Garcia, Hillary Lindsey and Josh Kear.
