It’s a good day to be a Benjamin Ingrosso fan with the Swedish singer-songwriter dropping two new singles Queens and Afterlife. As he wraps up his tour dates, he pushes full steam ahead with new music and sets his sights on conquering the international pop scene.
Benjamin writes Queens with Amanda Cygnaeus and Madelene Eliasson – with the latter also producing. The Dance You Off singer shared: “Extremely proud of this song and the Queens that I wrote it together with! This song is to all of you Queens out there who make the world a better place!” Celebrating the queens in his life, Benjamin croons “Who’s the man? Who is king? / I’d be lost in this life / Tell me, what would I be without queens?” with some of the initial opening riffs even boasting a Queen-esque flavour before the production becomes fast-paced and infectious, building to a soaringly optimistic chorus.
The singer co-writes the second of the new tracks Afterlife with Jacob Werner and producer Markus Sepehrmanesh. Gentle guitar soundtracks the song which boasts an ABBA-flavoured joyousness in its guitar-melodies and Benjamin’s wholesome vocals which deliver some of the singer’s most emotional lyrics “Now I can’t tell you when / But I know that it’s not the end / It’s only goodbye for now…”
Benjamin’s upcoming English album is expected in Autumn.
