Paper Foxes are a five piece pop outfit from Phoenix navigating a unique mix of electro, synth, pop and new wave sounds – the latest taste of which you can hear in new single Heartstrings.
Heartstrings opens with scintillating electronic percussion before bringing in vocoder-kissed vocals to craft a breezy, electronic affair. Anchored by the line ‘Pulling at my heartstrings…’, the vocal delivery and woozy electro flavours produce an entrancing pop concoction that cements Paper Foxes as ones to watch in the current pop landscape.
Paper Foxes is made up of CJ Jacobson (vocals, guitar), Patro Gaston (synths), Oliver Lemke (guitar), Robert Ciuca (bass) and Henri Bernard (drums). Their previous releases have centred on more indie, guitar-driven sounds whilst the new material ventures more towards synth-soaked nostalgia driven pop.
Heartstrings should have you well and truly excited for Paper Foxes’ upcoming album which is currently set for a 2023 release.
