The magnificent Tia Carrere returns with a slice of some impeccable new music in the form of I’m Still Here. The track written by Ralph Schuckett, Todd Smallwood and Tia also features production from Dan Ubick, marking Tia’s first new music in some time.
Tia’s debut album Dream arrived in 1993 through Reprise Records featuring singles including I Never Even Told You and State of Grace. She followed this with a trio of Hawaiian themed albums released through Daniel Ho Creations – the most recent arriving in 2010. It’s therefore no surprise that new music from Tia was relatively unexpected and a wonderful treat for her fans.
I’m Still Here shines through Tia’s emotional vocals which glide along guitar-driven production to a powerful chorus. “I’m still here, I’ll never go, You’ll always have a place with me, I’ll never go…” the actress and singer softly shares in the track’s chorus. Tia accompanies the single with a dreamy video shot in lush green rural locations and atmospheric beach centred shots.
Tia shared: “I appreciate you! I wrote this years ago and felt the need to get it out into the world after the pandemic. It’s been a rough time for a lot of people and I believe we need to appreciate that we are still here. Breathing, walking this earth, being brave whatever comes next”
The actress who gained legions of fans in Relic Hunter and Wayne’s World was recently seen in RuPaul’s Netflix series AJ and the Queen. It’s great to have Tia back releasing music. Connect with her below.
