Dolly Parton Announces Already Iconic ‘Rockstar’ LP, Drops Epic New Single ‘World On Fire’

Over fifty years into her recording career Dolly Parton still likes to keep the surprises coming, with the country icon announcing her first rock album, Rockstar. Arriving on November 17th 2023, the album boasts a mammoth tracklist featuring luminaries from the world of rock and rock as well as eight original tracks – one of which is latest single World On Fire.

Dolly shared the news with fans: “I’m so excited to finally present my first Rock and Roll album Rockstar!” Dolly shared. “I am very honored and privileged to have worked with some of the greatest iconic singers and musicians of all time and to be able to sing all the iconic songs throughout the album was a joy beyond measure. I hope everybody enjoys the album as much as I’ve enjoyed putting it together!”

Describing World On Fire: “This is a song I felt very inspired to write,” Dolly said. “I think it speaks about everything and to everyone this day and out everything and to everyone this day and time. I hope it is something that will touch you and maybe touch enough people to want to make a change for the better.”

It would be easier to name rock stars that don’t feature on the album, but you can expect Stevie Nicks, Debbie Harry, Steven Tyler, Paul McCartney, and Joan Jett amongst the many collaborations. See the full tracklist below:
