Swedish musical talent Melanie Wehbe returns with some new music in the form of anthemic new pop number Lonely Heart. The singer shares “Falling apart doesn’t mean you’re broken, I know it’s hard, If you give all you’ve got it will slowly open up…” in the emotive lyrics, soundtracked by powerhouse eighties inspired electronic production.
Melanie shared: “I think we are a lot of ‘lonely hearts’ out there who have built up a small inner fear of daring to open the heart again after it has been hit, but the fear must not take over. Think how much we will miss!? Although ‘Lonely Heart’ is written as if I am singing to someone else, it is indirectly an internal conversation with myself. I wanted to create something uplifting and personal in a nice chewy production, a perfect song to add to my summer tour simply haha.”
Lonely Heart marks Melanie’s first post-Melodifestivalen single. The 2023 contest saw Melanie shine with the stellar For the Show which made it through to the contest’s semi-final stage.
