With the live launch of Celebrity Big Brother set for 4th March, anticipation has been building over the potential housemate line-up. Previous winners have included such talents as Take That’s Mark Owen, TV legend Rylan Clark and Girls Aloud’s Sarah Harding, and we hope the cast for the returning series will not disappoint.
Here are twelve stars we would love to see enter the CBB house and would undoubtedly create unmissable TV and more iconic reality moments.
Gaz Beadle: Reality TV star (Geordie Shore, Ex on the Beach)
Since leaving Geordie Shore, the 35 year old has kept a relatively low, more family-friendly profile. With rumours of an impeding return to Geordie Shore, could the temptation of following in the footsteps of fellow Geordie CBB winners Scotty T and Charlotte Crosby lure Gaz into the CBB house?
Tulisa: Singer and former X-Factor judge
N-Dubz star Tulisa shot to fame with tracks including ‘Number 1’ and ‘Young’ and became a household name as a judge on The X Factor in 2011. Tulisa quickly became a fan favourite and won the show as mentor to hugely-successful group Little Mix. Frank, relatable and at-times confrontational, we are sure Tulisa would make a fantastic CBB housemate.
Jonathan Van Ness: Queer Eye host
Flamboyant, entertaining and funny, 36 year old Van Ness became the shining star of Netflix’s Queer Eye in 2018. Beloved by fans for hysterical antics and turn of phrase, JVN has consistently remained open, vulnerable and would undoubtedly spark well-informed discussion as a CBB housemate.
Shirley Ballas: Ballroom Dance Champion and Strictly Come Dancing judge
Latin dance champion Ballas became a household name as head judge of Strictly Come Dancing in 2017 and quickly impressed with a no-nonsense attitude, quick-wit and sharp sense of style. Having recently competed on The Masked Singer, could Shirley follow-up with an entrance into the CBB house in March?
Tayce: RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star
Tayce stole the show with her confessionals in RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Series 2 and we have been desperate to see her back on our screens ever since! With rumours of a potential return to Drag Race in the pipeline, casting the 29-year old for CBB would undoubtedly create iconic fashion moments and diary room entries that would be unmissable!
Melissa Rivers: TV producer and Reality TV star
Ever since her legendary appearance on Celebrity Apprentice USA, why UK reality producers have never cast Melissa is beyond us. Daughter of legendary comic Joan Rivers, Melissa has consistently created entertaining television in roles such as Fashion Police and Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best?
David Potts: Ibiza Weekender star
With entertaining appearances on lesser known shows Celebs Go Dating and Celebs on the Farm, we feel the time has come for 30-year old Potts to truly enter the reality TV mainframe. With a larger than life personality, David would likely become a divisive character in the house and create potential meme-worthy moments that could rival the great Gemma Collins.
Kenya Moore: Miss USA & Real Housewives of Atlanta star
When you want to create captivating reality TV, you call Kenya Moore! After being crowned as Miss USA in 1993, Moore carved an impressive acting and modelling career which has been superseded by her prominence as the star of Real Housewives of Atlanta since 2012. With beauty and intelligence, Moore’s main strength remains her ability to create unmissable reality TV and we would love to see her enter the CBB UK house one day!
David Hasselhoff: Baywatch legend
Since his short-lived appearance as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent, we have missed having The Hoff on our UK TV screens. With career highlights including Baywatch and Knight Rider, who can deny that a live performance of Jump In My Car would be what we would hope to see. With his Welsh wife Hayley and a known love for all things UK, could the idea of The Hoff in the CBB house be a possibility?
Janet Street-Porter: Journalist and Loose Woman
Why have we never seen JSP as a CBB housemate yet? Outspoken, intelligent and witty, Street-Porter would be an incredible housemate, not to mention captivating with stories of her famous friends and incredible career. Could Janet become a Celebrity Big Brother winner alongside her Loose Women colleagues Coleen Nolan and Denise Welch?
Scott Disick: Keeping Up With The Kardashians star
40-year old Disick shot to fame as long-term partner of Kourtney Kardashian, and his outlandish behaviour on KUWTK quickly made him a fan favourite. Now Kourtney has married Blink 182’s Travis Barker and Disick is more distant on Hulu’s The Kardahians, could CBB UK 2024 be the relaunch for Disick’s reality TV career?
Conchita Wurst: Eurovision 2014 winner
10 years on from triumph at Eurovision, Conchita has remained a prominent figure at Prides and music festivals across Europe ever since. Similar to Van Ness, having Wurst as a housemate would bring fashion, style and meaningful discussion about gender identity, as well as a much-anticipated CBB performance of Rise Like a Phoenix.
