Following on from his high energy pop banger Lose Control, Markus Riva showcases a more pensive, emotional side on his latest release, At the End of the World. The poignant number is described by the Latvian heartthrob as his “lullaby for the world”, with Markus noting “We need peace!” It is no surprise that the song arrives on the second anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, with Markus being a consistently vocal against the war and drawing attention to the struggles facing Ukraine.
Markus co-writes with Edgars Jass – with Jass also stepping in to produce the song. Markus is no stranger to a powerful pop ballad with tracks such as Impossible showcasing the star’s versatility – just as comfortable on a more emotional number as he is on a dance-centred song.
Markus also releases a new version of his collaboration with Myszkovski, One Night, which now gets a remix from Barthezz Brain.
