Mariette releases her first new single since her 2023 Melodifestivalen entry One Day – the new number is a similarly rousing anthem that sees the Swedish singer-songwriter deliver the type of pop gem that she does so impeccably. Mariette’s new single Hours & Hours is co-written with Jade Ell and Joakim Buddee – with the latter also crafting the number’s stirring production.
Released through Universal Music Sweden, Hours & Hours packs a country-inflection thanks to peppy acoustic guitar and an emotive, hopeful vocal from the star. Building in energy, the single turns into an energetic mid-tempo as the star sings about taking the time to move on from a relationship.
Mariette has been a staple of the Swedish pop scene since appearing on Idol in 2009, appearing at Melodifestivalen four times – finishing 8th in the final of 2023 edition.
