David Lindgren Returns With Slick Danceable New Gem ‘My Lovin’ Ain’t Cheap’

David Lindgren remains a household name in his native Sweden, many years after releasing his acclaimed chart-topping albums Get Started and Ignite the Beat in 2012 and 2013 – not to mention three successful runs performing as an entrant in Melodifestivalen – David would also go on to host the contest in 2017 and 2018. Now the star returns with an addictive slice of new music, My Lovin’ Ain’t Cheap, his first major English language single since 2019.

Produced by Eric Wictor, who also co-writes alongside David, Ellen Paulina Falkås and Greg Curtis. The number is a slick and funk-infused dance pop track that showcases the musician’s impeccable falsetto style vocals atop earworming dance production. The number is a welcome return to David Lindgren – the pop star, and hopefully a taste of more music to come from the Swedish heartthrob.

David was cemented in our hearts with his bangers Shout It Out, Skyline and We Are Your Tomorrow. My Lovin’ Ain’t Cheap will definitely be joining our list of David Lindgren favourites now.
