She was a fan favourite with her two anthemic Eurovision Song Contest tracks Cleopatra and Mata Hari, and now Efendi returns with her first new English music language in two years. The Azerbaijani star now delivers new song Dance – which ultimately does what it says on the tin, in the best possible way.
Dance is a slick pop gem that fans of Efendi’s Eurovision numbers will enjoy. The number sees Efendi collaborate with writers Tony Cornelissen, Amy van der Wel, Kework Der Stepanian, Johannes Lemken. Roc-a-ville produce the number, infusing it with slinky electronic pop vibes, whilst Efendi delivers a silky smooth vocal.
Efendi previously released English track Being a Woman back in 2022 – however this feels more in tune with her Europop credentials. She has since made high profile live performances at events such as Amsterdam’s Eurovision in Concert.
