The handsome José Otero established himself as one of the favourites from the 2023 Benidorm Fest with his impressive Inviernos en Marte which made it to the contest’s grand final. Now José reveals new music in the form of (Estando) LEJOS, a truly exciting start to the Spanish musician’s latest chapter.
The star shared on his Instagram: “I return to the why, to the beginning, also to the future…. I can’t wait for it to come out now. it’s a journey of sounds and emotions that represent me more than ever.” Upon the song’s release, José shared: “Being (AWAY) is already out. Being me with my sound, my dark world that is also pop and plays with electronics… I wanted to play and be me. The first of what is coming.”
(Estando) LEJOS is written by Bárbara Reyzabal and José, with production from Mario Sedano Olmeda and Liam Garner. The song marks a creative shift for the star, playing with darker electronic pop sounds, yet maintaining José’s impeccable vocals.
