The multi-talented Omar Rudberg returns with some new original music in the form of Red Light, his first release since signing to Elektra Entertainment. The FO&O star has continued to conquer the entertainment world with a starring role in Netflix smash The Young Royals and after releasing his debut album OMR back in 2022 – yet Red Light marks a shift in sonic trajectory.
Omar shares: “‘Red Light’ is a bittersweet song that’s very emotional to me. I feel like this song marks a new era. It’s very different from everything else I’ve released. It’s the introduction to what is coming.”
Red Light sees the pop talent work with writers Agrin Rahmani, Alex Shield, Amanda Kongshaug, Charlotte Kajer, Fredrik Gustafsson and Isaiah Tajada. Rahmani, Shield and Tajada also produce the track. The number has a nostalgia to it as it documents a distant romantic guitar, with a melancholic groove in the production, Omar packs his impressive vocals with a sense of woozy wistfulness.
