Evoking the magic of Elvis Presley and Billy Fury on his debut single, musical rising talent Elliot James Reay delivers the bold and dynamic number I Think They Call This Love. Teasers of the single were quick to garner attention through social media – attracting 3 million followers to Elliot – and thankfully the full track does not disappoint.
The suave star brings 50s inspired vocals, timeless instrumentation and romantic songwriting to I Think They Call This Love – collaborating with co-writers Annielle Lisiuk and Glen Roberts. The woozy, elegant production comes courtesy of Glen Roberts and producer duo SOAP. In the recording sessions, the team used live instruments, vintage equipment and recorded live to tape as much as possible. Digital tools were kept to a minimum to ensure the track captured that swooning fifties style.
The Bury, Manchester native shares: “Growing up with the sounds of Elvis, Roy Orbison, and Billy Fury really shaped my love for music. I’ve been lucky to share that passion over the last couple years on social media with over 3 million amazing fans.“
Elliot continues: “After a year in the studio finding my own voice and sound, I’m excited to finally release my debut single, ‘I Think They Call This Love’. This song means a lot to me, and I hope you’ll find your own connection to it.”
