Eurovision Song Contest 2025 season officially came to a start with the unveiling of Basel as the EBU and Switzerland’s choice of host city. Whilst we’ve barely had a second to cancel our Geneva refundable accommodation, Cyprus and broadcaster CyBC have hit us with the fantastic news that the island nation will be represented by the talented Theo Evan.
Theo Evan is a singer-songwriter born and raised to a Greek/Cypriot family living in Nicosia, the star had a passion for singing and dancing from an early age – idolising Michael Jackson after buying CD single We Are the World. After success as a dancer, Theo would follow his passion of music to Boston, where he attended Berklee College of Music and excelled as a student in Professional Music.
Theo has built up an impressive discography in recent years, his debut single The Wall was released in 2021 and blends dance, R&B flavours with Reggaeton influences. The handsome star has continued to play with electronic dance music flavours whilst showcasing romantic, sexy and evocative lyricism in his work. Theo has also released wintery pop number SO COLD, dramatic electronic pop BURN US DOWN, and the vulnerable pop of SAVE ME FROM MYSELF. Theo’s most recent single is 2024 number FADING DREAMS.
We can’t wait to hear what Theo has been cooking up for Eurovision and are delighted that he is kicking the 2025 season off to such an exciting start.
