Nemo soared to victory at the Malmo based Eurovision Song Contest earlier this year with the thrilling The Code. Exactly what Nemo was going to come back with, was anyone’s guess, but their first post-contest single Eurostar is a propulsive, thrilling tribute to Nemo’s new home of London.
Nemo shares: “I moved to London five weeks ago, and I’ve found myself exploring different parts of the city — its history, culture, and amazing music,” They added: “I took the Eurostar from Paris to London back in June, and I suddenly felt inspired by how close these two places are, both of which mean a lot to me. I found a lot of inspiration in taking the train, realising it’s a great metaphor for arriving in London, in a way, but also for the speed of life lately.
Nemo continues: “The Eurostar is incredibly fast at times, and my life has felt similarly nonstop and fast-paced. I think you can hear that energy reflected in the song as well.”
On the addictive chorus, Nemo croons: “I took the Eurostar from Paris and you know what fuckin’ for/I wanna dance, I wanna party, do it like no one before,” against vibrant, energy-packed production from Nemo, Liam Maye, Cecile Believe and Cameron Gower Poole. Liam Maye and Nemo Mettler write the track.
In the official video for the track, filmed in conjunction with Eurostar, Nemo reunites with their Eurovision 2024 co-stars Luna (Poland), Windows95Man (Finland), Silvester Belt (Lithuania), Bambie Thug (Ireland) and Jerry Heil (Ukraine).
