Following the incredible return of Celebrity Big Brother to ITV last year, we are beyond excited for the Celebrity Big Brother 2025 series! Set to hit our screens on ITV/ITV2 this spring, we look back at the 23 previous seasons and choose our ultimate Celebrity Big Brother winner.

8. Julian Clary

Iconic British comedian Julian Clary won the 10th series back in 2012, beating runner-up and eventual winner of the Celebrity Big Brother: All Stars series, Coleen Nolan. Sharp-tongued and witty, Clary’s friendship with legendary Coronation Street star Julie Goodyear proved to be the unexpected double act we needed, and winning the show propelled Julian deservedly back into the showbiz mainstream once again.
7. Ryan Thomas

Billed as The Eye of the Storm, the 22nd and final CBB series on Channel 5 proved to be one of the most controversial ever, following ‘Punchgate’ between Ryan Thomas and actress Roxanne Pallett. While the audience saw Ryan’s innocence, housemates were convinced by Pallett that he had knowingly injured her and were confused as to why he had not been removed from the house. In the end, justice seemed to prevail, as the Coronation Street hunk triumphed over the late Hollywood actress Kirstie Alley.
6. Katie Price

As a panellist on Big Brother’s Bit on the Side, discussing the madness within the house, even KP herself would not have believed that she would enter and win the 15th series back in January 2015. As one of the most famous women in the UK, Price had long been on the wishlist of CBB producers. Entering the house as a late arrival, she joined other iconic housemates, including Katie Hopkins, Perez Hilton, Michelle Visage, and the unknowingly hilarious Patsy Kensit. Price’s openness and willingness to discuss the details of her marriages and break-ups with spouses including Peter Andre and Alex Reid led her to victory, beating Katie Hopkins in one of the most unmissable seasons ever.
5. Rylan Clark

After shooting to fame on The X Factor, Rylan was quickly propelled into the Celebrity Big Brother house for the 11th series back in 2013. Aged just 24, Rylan proved to be an incredible housemate, with hilarious pranks, tantrums, and the start of a lifelong friendship with Steps star Claire Richards. Following a memorable confrontation with The Hills duo Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, Rylan’s popularity surged, and he won the show before going on to become the host of spin-off show Big Brother’s Bit on the Side.
4. David Potts

In the debut series of Celebrity Big Brother on ITV1 last year, Ibiza Weekender star David Potts’ larger-than-life persona won over fans, deservedly making him a household name. In an amazing series, ITV showed a clear dedication to the show, casting iconic X Factor duo Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne, as well as household names including Fern Britton and Levi Roots. Despite starting as one of the lesser-known stars, Potts’ hysterical horse antics and Diary Room one-liners earned him the win over Strictly Come Dancing star Nikita Kuzmin.
3. Courtney Act

With one of the most iconic entrances to the show ever, Courtney Act’s ‘accidental’ dress incident certainly ensured she caught the headlines from the beginning. Proving to be an intelligent, articulate, and hilarious adversary to Conservative politician Ann Widdecombe, Courtney won the 21st series of the show in 2018. She insightfully educated other housemates on a range of LGBTQ+ issues, generating important discussions in households all around the country.
2. Charlotte Crosby

Similarly to David Potts, many may not have known Charlotte Crosby before she entered the house for the 12th series in 2013. However, any Geordie Shore fan would have bet on Crosby to leave as the winner—and that she did! An unbelievably honest, emotional, and lovable housemate, Charlotte was the heart of the humour in the house, striking up close friendships with Louie Spence, Carol McGiffin, and Mario Falcone. In challenging Coronation Street’s Bruce Jones and Vicky Entwistle, Charlotte showed a determined and feisty side, which helped secure her victory over Five’s Abz Love. We would love to see Crosby enter the house once again!
1. Chantelle Houghton

When we think of iconic Celebrity Big Brother winners, one name comes to mind—Chantelle. In a tongue-in-cheek twist on media criticism of CBB line-ups, producers cast a ‘non-celebrity’ housemate, Chantelle, who successfully convinced other housemates of her stardom as part of the girl band Kandy Floss (with a K). With lyrics in hand, Chantelle ‘performed’ their hit I Want It All in one of the most iconic scenes in CBB history. As a funny and loveable housemate, Chantelle’s blossoming relationship with future husband Preston was a focal point of the series, as was their return to the house for Ultimate Big Brother in 2010.
