The name Adam Woods will be familiar to readers of the site and Eurovision Song Contest fans after Adam delighted fans at Melodifestivalen twice in recent years. The Swedish singer-songwriter now lends his production skills and co-writing abilities of to Norwegian Eurovision Song Contest entry, Lighter, which sees him collaborate with the talented Kyle Alessandro. Adam kindly joined Culture Fix editor Andrew for a chat about working with Kyle, his time at Melodifestivalen, and his upcoming music.
Adam discussed what sparked the collaboration between the two musicians and his role in crafting the lyrics and production alongside Kyle. Adam shared his awe at Kyle’s talent as a musician and performer, as well as the process of crafting a track that fused Norwegian and Mediterranean influences.
With regards to his own music career, Adam shared a little about his upcoming EP and what we can expect from that – as well as giving some hints at a full-length album that is on the horizon. Of course, we couldn’t chat to Adam without asking about his own Melodifestivalen experience, with the star delving into his tracks Where You Are (Sávežan) and Supernatural – and why he thinks he may only have one more shot at Melodifestivalen left. Adam also shared his thoughts on the Melodifestivalen 2025 shock results from last weekend.
