The brilliant Kyle Alessandro heads to Basel to represent Norway with his fusion of Scandinavian and Mediterranean sounds on the excellent Lighter. The musician kindly devoted some time to Culture Fix to chat about preparations for Eurovision, the deeply personal story behind Lighter, and his interesting musical evolution.
Kyle shared his story about progressing in the music industry and his experiences with Melodi Grand Prix, including as part of Unami Tsunami back in 2023, and his experiences now performing solo with Lighter. The musician spent time discussing the origins of the song and the structural and lyrical changes that the number went through with he and co-writer/producer Adam Woods – you can also check out our interview with Adam here.
